2025 FIBA AfroBasket: D’Tigers Announces Final Squad For Tournament

Nigeria’s D’Tigers have announced their final 12-man squad for the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket tournament, with the list revealed on the team’s official X handle.

The selected players are Josh Okogie, Caleb Agada, Ike Nwamu, Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu, Talib Zanna, Stan Okoye, Mike Nuga, Devine Eke, Christian Mekowulu, Martins Igbanu, Ugo Simon, and Emmanuel Omogbo.

The AfroBasket 2025 tournament will take place in Angola from August 12 to August 24. Nigeria’s D’Tigers have been drawn into Group B alongside Tunisia, Madagascar, and Cameroon.

They will kick off their campaign on August 13 against Madagascar, followed by a match against Tunisia on August 15, and will conclude the group stage with a game against Cameroon on August 17.

The D’Tigers are the reigning champions, having won their first and only AfroBasket title in 2015 after defeating Angola in the final.

Meanwhile, the D’Tigress continued their dominance by clinching a record fifth consecutive AfroBasket women’s title, overcoming Mali in the final. This victory marked their seventh overall title on the continent, bringing them just four titles shy of Senegal’s record.
