The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mr. Adebowale Abayomi Ogunkoya, husband of former member of the House of Representatives for Ika Federal Constituency and Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Rt. Hon. Doris Uboh-Ogunkoya.
In a condolence message issued on behalf of the party’s leadership, members, and supporters, the Delta APC State Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, JP, conveyed the party’s heartfelt sympathies to Rt. Hon. Uboh-Ogunkoya, her children, the Ogunkoya family, and all those affected by the loss.
Chief Arenyeka described the late Adebowale Ogunkoya as a devoted family man whose passing has left a painful void in the lives of those who knew him.
“The Delta State APC is deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Mr. Adebowale Abayomi Ogunkoya. At this difficult moment, we stand in solidarity with our dear sister, Rt. Hon. Doris Uboh-Ogunkoya, and her entire family,” he said.
He added, “We pray that Almighty God grants them the strength, comfort, and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. While no words can adequately ease the pain of losing a beloved husband and father, we take solace in the enduring impact of his life and the cherished memories he leaves behind.”
The APC noted that the funeral arrangements earlier announced by the family remain unchanged and urged party members, friends, associates, and well-wishers to continue to keep the bereaved family in their prayers during this difficult period.
Chief Arenyeka also prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and for God’s abiding presence to comfort the family.
The statement, signed by the Delta APC State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, Esq., said the party joins friends, associates, and sympathisers across the country in mourning the loss, while praying for God’s grace, strength, and courage for the family in their time of grief.
