Delta APC SWC Pays Condolence Visit to Chairman Arenyeka Over Mother’s Death at 91

The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has paid a condolence visit to its State Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, following the passing of his mother, late Mrs. Felicia Oritselumewo Arenyeka, who died at the age of 91.

The party described the late matriarch as a woman of grace, faith, and selfless service whose life positively impacted not only her family but also the wider community. Until her death, she remained a symbol of wisdom, compassion, and strength to all who encountered her.

Late Mrs. Arenyeka was a devoted Christian who worshipped at First Baptist Church, Sapele, while maintaining deep ancestral roots in Bobi Community.

In a strong show of solidarity, members of the Delta APC State Working Committee visited the chairman’s residence in Ubeji to sympathize with him and the entire Arenyeka family during their period of mourning.

The delegation was led by the Deputy State Chairman, Elder Moses Iduh, who conveyed the condolences of party leaders and members across the state.

“The loss of a mother is one of life’s deepest pains. Though Mama Felicia lived a fulfilled and exemplary life, her passing leaves a vacuum that can never truly be filled,” Iduh said.

He added that the late Mrs. Arenyeka was more than a mother to the party chairman.

“She was a mother figure whose values, discipline, and nurturing spirit helped shape the character and leadership qualities Chief Solomon Arenyeka continues to demonstrate in public and private life.”

Among those on the visit were Chief Emma Amgbaduba, Elder Emma Egbabor, Valentine Onojeghuo, Mr. William Deniran, Mr. Paul Azorbo Amabiri, and Prince Fred Mordi.

During the visit, prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of the deceased, while words of comfort were shared with the bereaved family. The delegation urged the family to draw strength from the remarkable legacy she left behind.

Responding on behalf of the family, Chief Arenyeka expressed gratitude to the party leadership for the support and solidarity shown to him.

“I deeply appreciate the love, unity, and encouragement extended to my family at this difficult time. Your presence has given us strength and comfort,” he said.

Late Mrs. Felicia Oritselumewo Arenyeka is survived by children, grandchildren, relatives, and loved ones who continue to celebrate her life of devotion to God, family, and community.

The Delta APC prayed that Almighty God grants the Arenyeka family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
