Ijeh Applauds Oborevwori’s Leadership, Calls for Unity in Oshimili South Ahead of 2027

Delta State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Chief Dr. Darlington Nnamdi Ijeh, has urged political leaders, community stakeholders, and residents of Oshimili South Local Government Area to sustain unity and remain committed to a shared vision of progress and stability.

He emphasized the need for all stakeholders to channel their efforts toward the collective development of the area as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement released from his office, Ijeh commended the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, describing his administration as purposeful and people-centered.

He noted that the governor’s MORE Agenda has continued to deliver tangible and far-reaching development across Delta State.

The Commissioner stressed that aligning with the policies and leadership direction of the state government is key to attracting increased development to Oshimili South.

He emphasized that unity, discipline, and mutual respect among stakeholders remain essential ingredients for sustained progress.

He warned against divisive actions such as internal rivalries, misinformation, and other tendencies capable of undermining collective interests, describing them as harmful to both political stability and overall development in the local government.

Ijeh further called on political actors to demonstrate loyalty, responsibility, and constructive engagement, noting that coordinated efforts are critical to strengthening the political structure and fostering an inclusive, results-driven environment.

He also cautioned individuals and groups against spreading unverified information, urging all stakeholders to prioritize fact-checking and responsible communication in both public and private engagements.

Reaffirming his confidence in Governor Oborevwori’s leadership, Ijeh said the administration has consistently shown commitment, inclusiveness, and a clear vision for sustainable development across all local government areas in the state.

He encouraged stakeholders to set aside personal ambitions and work together in the interest of the people, stressing that meaningful development can only be achieved through cooperation, trust, and a shared vision.

He added that internal conflicts have historically hindered the growth of Oshimili South and must be avoided, urging leaders to exercise restraint and discretion in addressing sensitive matters to preserve unity and protect long-term interests.

As the 2027 general elections draw closer, Ijeh reiterated the importance of sustained support, loyalty, and peaceful coexistence, noting that respect for constituted authority and strategic alignment with the state government will guarantee continued progress and development.
