The All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State, has congratulated former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and Executive Director (Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services) at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Victor Ochei, on his election as President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF).
In a statement signed by the State publicity Secretary of the APC, Valentine Onojeghuo, the State Chairman of the APC, the State Party Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, in a congratulatory message described Ochei’s victory as a recognition of his sterling leadership qualities, intellectual depth, and outstanding record of service to the nation.
Elder Sobotie noted that Ochei, an engineer, lawyer, entrepreneur, and technocrat, embodies excellence, discipline, and commitment in all his pursuits, adding that his emergence at the helm of the Nigeria Tennis Federation is both well-deserved and timely.
“Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei has consistently demonstrated uncommon dedication to human capital development and institutional growth. His forward-thinking leadership style and pragmatic approach will no doubt redefine the management, promotion, and development of tennis in Nigeria,” Sobotie stated.
The Delta APC Chairman expressed confidence that Ochei’s wealth of experience in governance and administration would bring innovative strategies to sports administration, setting a new standard for professionalism and performance in the sector.
He added that Ochei’s emergence as NTF President further highlights Delta State’s reputation for producing leaders of excellence across various fields, expressing optimism that his tenure would usher in a new era of reforms, increased participation, and global competitiveness for Nigerian tennis.
Sobotie assured Ochei of the Party’s full support as he takes on his new national role, saying his success would not only be a personal achievement but also a source of pride for Delta State and Nigeria at large.
