Uromi Junction Flyover Project Advances as Ika South Chairman Inspects Site

The ongoing Mega Flyover Bridge Project at Uromi Junction has continued to record steady progress, following an on-site inspection by the Chairman of Ika South Local Government Area, Hon. Jerry Ehiwarior.

Hon. Ehiwarior led the inspection to assess the level of work done and ensure that the project is advancing in line with expectations. The visit underscored the importance of infrastructure development as a catalyst for community growth, improved mobility, and economic expansion.

Speaking during the inspection, the council chairman emphasized that infrastructure goes beyond concrete and steel, noting that the flyover is designed to open up communities, ease daily movement, and create sustainable pathways for development.

When completed, the Uromi Junction flyover is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion, enhance road safety, and stimulate economic activities in Ika South Local Government Area and adjoining communities.

The project aligns with the bold infrastructure vision of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, whose administration has prioritized strategic road and transport projects aimed at improving connectivity and supporting economic growth across the state.

Residents and road users have expressed optimism that the completion of the flyover will bring lasting relief to traffic challenges at the busy Uromi Junction and further strengthen socio-economic activities in the area.
