United Nigeria Airlines Confirms Altercation, Deboards VDM, Mr. Jollof

United Nigeria Airlines has confirmed the deboarding of popular social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), and media personality Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, widely known as Mr. Jollof, following an altercation at the Asaba International Airport on Monday, November 17, 2025.

The incident occurred during the boarding of Flight UN0523, prompting immediate intervention by the airline’s crew. According to a statement signed by the airline’s Public Relations Officer, Chibuike Uloka, MNIPR, the crew acted “professionally and in full compliance with global aviation safety protocols” to de-escalate the situation.

Both men were removed from the aircraft without delay and handed over to airport security for further investigation.

Uloka emphasized that United Nigeria Airlines maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any behaviour that threatens the safety, comfort, or security of passengers and crew.

Following the completion of standard safety procedures, Flight UN0523 departed Asaba for its destination while the duo remained with airport authorities.

United Nigeria Airlines reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe, respectful, and secure travel experience across its network.
