Oborevwori Set To Flag Off Construction Of 11.7km Okpanam–Ugbolu Road Tuesday

Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, perform the official flag-off ceremony for the construction of the 11.725-kilometre Okpanam–Ugbolu Road.

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Festus Ahon, announced this in a statement issued on Sunday in Asaba.

According to Ahon, the event, scheduled to hold at Ugbolu by 10:00 a.m., underscores the Oborevwori administration’s commitment to improving road infrastructure and strengthening connectivity within the Asaba capital territory.

He explained that the Okpanam–Ugbolu Road project would open up new economic and residential corridors, decongest traffic, and boost socio-economic interactions between the two rapidly developing communities.

Ahon urged residents of Okpanam, Ugbolu, and neighbouring areas to turn out in large numbers for the flag-off ceremony, describing the project as yet another demonstration of the Governor’s MORE Agenda and his pledge to deliver quality infrastructure across Delta State
