Just In: Gov. Oborevwori Slams Six Months Suspension on Rector, Bursar Of Ogwashi-Uku Polytechnic

In his capacity as visitor to the Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori has approved the immediate suspension of the Rector and Bursar of the Polytechnic,for six months respectively and also upheld the earlier suspension of the Registrar of the institution by the Governing Council.

According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government(SSG)Dr Kingsley Eze Emu, the suspension of the Principal Officers of the institution is to allow for an unbiased investigation into the alleged administrative misconduct and financial breaches leveled against them by the institution’s Governing Council.

The statement further added that the Deputy Rector would act as Rector until the expiration of the six months suspension,while the most Senior Accountant in the Bursary Department would similarly act as Bursar until the expiration of the six months suspension on the Bursar.
