The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his third anniversary in office, praising his administration for what it described as purposeful leadership and impactful governance across the state.
In a statement issued on Friday by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Valentine Onojeghuo Esq, the APC said it joined “well-meaning Deltans” in celebrating the governor’s achievements over the past three years.
The party acknowledged the challenges associated with leadership and commended Governor Oborevwori for his commitment to the growth, peace, and sustainable development of Delta State.
“Three years in leadership is no small journey. It comes with enormous responsibility, difficult decisions, and a deep commitment to service,” the statement read.
The APC further noted that the governor had surpassed expectations under his administration’s M.O.R.E. Agenda through visible improvements in governance, infrastructure, human capital development, and service delivery.
“Within the last three years, Your Excellency has delivered far beyond the expectations set under the M.O.R.E. Agenda, exceeding the hopes and expectations of many Deltans through visible strides in governance, infrastructure, human capital development, and service delivery,” the party stated.
According to the statement, the governor’s efforts in consolidating on existing foundations while pursuing greater opportunities for the people had not gone unnoticed.
The opposition party stressed that it remained deeply interested in the progress and prosperity of Delta State, adding that leadership should always be measured by service to the people.
“As a party deeply interested in the progress and prosperity of Delta State, we acknowledge that leadership is ultimately about service to the people, and we celebrate every effort geared toward improving the lives of Deltans and strengthening the future of our state,” the APC added.
The party also offered prayers for the governor, asking God to grant him wisdom, strength, good health, and grace to continue serving the state effectively.
