Indomitable Class ’98 of DELSU Mass Communication Dept. Set for Grand Reunion in Asaba

The Indomitable Class of 1998 from the Department of Mass Communication, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, is set to host a much-anticipated reunion in Asaba, the Delta State capital, from Friday, October 3rd to Sunday, October 5th, 2025.

Themed “Reconnect, Relive, and Reunite,” the three-day event promises to be a memorable celebration of friendship, shared memories, and remarkable achievements.

In a statement issued by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, who serves as the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, the reunion will feature a business session, networking opportunities, and a fiesta to celebrate the class’s enduring legacy.

Mr. Nwaeke described the gathering as a unique opportunity to rekindle old bonds and reflect on a journey that began nearly three decades ago.

He credited the class’s individual and collective success to divine grace, noting that members have distinguished themselves in diverse fields, including public service, business, academia, media, and politics both within and outside Nigeria.

“Twenty-seven years after graduation, this reunion offers a chance to reconnect and celebrate how far we’ve all come,” Nwaeke said. “Our class has made an indelible mark.

We produced the Students’ Union Government President, Secretary-General, Public Relations Officer, and Senate Representative. Our impact at DELSU was unmatched.”

Reflecting on their university days, Nwaeke added, “We are called the Indomitable Class because we truly dominated our world back then—in academics, student unionism, leadership, and beyond. I doubt any class has matched our legacy.”

He extended a warm invitation to all Class of ’98 members, as well as friends and well-wishers, to attend the reunion, reconnect with old friends, and relive cherished moments from their time at DELSU.
“Let’s come together to make this reunion a celebration to remember,” he urged.
