Federal Lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, has rewarded years of loyalty, commitment and friendship by presenting a newly constructed four-bedroom duplex in Warri to his former colleague in the Burutu Local Government Legislative Arm, Hon. Churchill Botu.
The presentation of the tastefully built duplex, located in a serene estate in the oil city of Warri, came as a huge surprise to Hon. Botu, who expressed profound joy and appreciation for the unexpected gesture.
Speaking shortly after receiving the keys to the property, Hon. Churchill Botu said he never had the slightest inkling that Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi would reward their longstanding friendship and loyalty with such a significant gift.
He thanked God for using Rt. Hon. Pondi to make him a landlord in Warri, describing the gesture as a powerful demonstration that “there is indeed a reward for sincere loyalty.”
“I thank God for using Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi to make me a landlord in Warri. Indeed, there is a reward for sincere loyalty. Aside from the fact that I have enjoyed several other benefits from him, this one is very loud.”
Hon. Botu recalled that he and Rt. Hon. Pondi served together as councillors in 2008 at the Burutu Local Government Legislative Arm, where the Federal lawmaker served as Leader of the House.
He said his years of association and collaboration with Rt. Hon. Pondi had been worthwhile, stressing that he had no regrets knowing, supporting and working with him.
“I pray for more of God’s blessings, protection and provision for him and his family. Words are not enough to express my heartfelt appreciation.”
Still overwhelmed by the gesture, Hon. Botu described the gift as one that had permanently changed his fortunes and put an unforgettable smile on his face.
“Osiknagba has put permanent smiles on my face. I just can’t describe the way I am feeling.”
On the 2027 elections, Hon. Botu called on the people of Burutu Federal Constituency to support the candidacy of Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi for another term in the House of Representatives.
He said his support was based on what he described as Pondi’s record of representation, adding that he believed the lawmaker deserved another opportunity to continue his legislative responsibilities.
According to him, “He deserves to return to the Green Chamber to continue his robust, purposeful and efficient representation of the constituency.”
“Our people are determined to vote for all APC candidates, from the Presidency to the House of Assembly election.”
