Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon. Festus Ashima, has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to good governance and sustained development across the council area.
In his New Year message to the people of Warri North, Hon. Ashima described 2026 as a year of renewed purpose, unity, and people-centred leadership, assuring residents of his determination to deliver dividends of democracy to all communities.
He stated that his administration remains firmly aligned with the MORE agenda of the Delta State Government, focusing on the execution of impactful projects, the strengthening of grassroots governance, and the implementation of policies aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
The council chairman emphasized that transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance would continue to define his leadership, noting that development is only meaningful when it directly improves the lives of the citizens.
According to him, ongoing and planned initiatives in critical sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, youth empowerment, and economic growth will receive sustained attention throughout the year.
Hon. Ashima also called on traditional institutions, community leaders, youths, women, and other stakeholders to deepen their cooperation with the council, stressing that collective effort remains the most effective driver of progress and development.
He expressed gratitude to the people of Warri North for their continued support and trust, describing it as a major source of motivation for greater service and commitment.
