Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the appointment of eleven new Permanent Secretaries into the State Public Service in a move aimed at strengthening the state’s administrative structure and enhancing service delivery across government ministries and agencies.
The appointments were announced in a Government Special Announcement signed by Tetsola Anino Nelson, Permanent Secretary (State Protocol Matters), Directorate of Government House and Protocol.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Dr. Yinkore A. Paul, Dr. Okwunze A.C, Amadubogha Peters, Nkenchor O.O., Akambe O.H, Engr. Aghagba S., Ogbugo Victor Chike, Ighoyota M. Rocky, Itawansa Augustine A., Onobraekpeyan O. Edwin, and Nkemachor Lucky.
According to the statement, the appointments reflect Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to strengthening the public service with experienced and competent administrators capable of driving effective governance and policy implementation in the state.
“The appointments are part of ongoing efforts by the Oborevwori administration to reposition the Delta State Public Service for greater efficiency, accountability and improved service delivery,” the statement noted.
The new Permanent Secretaries are expected to bring their wealth of experience and professionalism to bear in the discharge of their responsibilities as top career officers in the state civil service.
The swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba by 10:00 a.m., while invited guests are expected to be seated by 9:30 a.m.
Government officials, political appointees, family members and well-wishers are expected to attend the event.
