The President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation, Victor Ochei, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Nigeria and the world, calling for renewed hope, unity, and commitment to the values exemplified by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In his Easter message, Ochei described the celebration as a profound reminder of “the victory of life over death, hope over despair, and light over darkness,” urging the faithful to reflect on the significance of Christ’s sacrifice and the enduring message of redemption.
Ochei, a former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, noted that the resurrection of Christ continues to inspire faith and offers a pathway to a better future, saying, “It calls us to reflect deeply on the priceless sacrifice of Christ, whose resurrection continues to inspire faith, unity, and unwavering belief in a better tomorrow.”
Addressing the current socio-economic challenges facing the nation, Ochei encouraged Nigerians to remain steadfast and embrace values that promote peaceful coexistence. According to him, “the message of Easter urges us to remain steadfast, to embrace love, and to foster peace in our communities.”
The former lawmaker further emphasized the importance of building a compassionate and just society, adding that Easter is “a season that renews our strength and rekindles our collective resolve to build a society anchored on compassion, justice, and shared prosperity.”
He wished Christians a joyous celebration, praying that “the joy of the risen Christ fill our hearts, strengthen our faith, and guide us on the path of righteousness and service to humanity,” while extending best wishes for a peaceful and fulfilling Easter.
