Delta APC Mourns Murdered Ethiope East Vice Chairman, Idisi Demands Full-Scale Police Investigation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has condemned the killing of its Ethiope East Local Government Area Vice Chairman, Mr. Ese Idisi, describing the incident as brutal, shocking, and devastating.

In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, Esq., the State Chairman of the party, Elder Omeni Sobotie expressed profound grief over the tragic death of Mr. Idisi, whom it described as a loyal, dependable, and committed party stalwart whose contributions significantly strengthened the APC in Ethiope East.

According to the party, Mr. Idisi’s murder has left a painful void not only within his family and community, but also among party members in Ethiope East Ward 4 and across the state.

“Delta APC mourns with his family, friends, political associates, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. We pray that God grants his loved ones the strength to bear this heartbreaking loss,” the statement read.

The party called on the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to launch a full-scale, thorough, and uncompromising investigation into the killing, insisting that the perpetrators, sponsors, and collaborators must be identified and brought to justice without delay.

Describing the murder as “cruel and senseless,” the party said nothing short of a professional and exhaustive investigation would be acceptable.

The Delta APC also dismissed suggestions that the killing was politically motivated or linked to internal party issues. It described such claims as “false, reckless and capable of inflaming tensions,” particularly at a time when the family is in mourning and investigations are still ongoing.

“It is irresponsible for anyone to make premature, unverified, or inflammatory assertions. Such conduct constitutes a disservice to the memory of the deceased,” the party warned.

The statement further cautioned political actors, stakeholders, and members of the public against speculation or sensational statements capable of jeopardizing the investigation or destabilizing the party.

The Delta APC reaffirmed that the party is currently enjoying renewed peace and cohesion under its leadership and will not allow reckless commentary to undermine the progress achieved.

The party urged members to remain calm, disciplined, and supportive of the bereaved family while awaiting the outcome of the investigation.

“Delta APC remains steadfast in its commitment to justice, the rule of law, and the protection of all its members,” the statement concluded.
