The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has congratulated the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olorogun (Barr.) Arthur Akpowowo, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary, describing him as a committed legislator and a symbol of principled leadership.
In a statement issued on Tuesday and jointly signed by the State Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, and the State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo Esq., the party praised Akpowowo’s contributions to democratic governance and lawmaking in the state.
According to the statement, the Deputy Speaker, who represents Ethiope East State Constituency, has distinguished himself as “a dependable parliamentarian, an accomplished legal practitioner and a leader whose conduct continues to inspire confidence in public service.”
Elder Sobotie noted that Akpowowo’s emergence as Deputy Speaker was earned through merit and dedication, stressing that his legislative journey reflects courage, wisdom and consistency in serving the people.
“Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo’s elevation to the position of Deputy Speaker is a testament to his competence, integrity and deep understanding of legislative responsibilities,” the APC chairman said.
The party further commended Akpowowo for his developmental initiatives and people-focused representation, particularly in the areas of youth empowerment, education, inclusive governance and infrastructure development in Ethiope East.
“His commitment to the welfare of his constituents aligns with the APC’s vision of building a prosperous, inclusive and people-oriented Delta State,” the statement added.
