The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, on the occasion of his 59th birthday, describing him as a distinguished leader whose record of service continues to inspire confidence and admiration.
In a goodwill message issued on Monday by the State Publicity secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, the party joined family members, political associates, supporters, friends, and constituents in celebrating the lawmaker, noting that his birthday is not only a personal milestone but also an opportunity to reflect on a life dedicated to excellence, leadership, and service to humanity.
Speaking on behalf of the party, Delta APC Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, JP, praised the senator as a worthy ambassador of Delta State and a respected financial technocrat whose contributions in both public and private sectors have been defined by integrity, competence, and visionary leadership.
“Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas represents the very best of leadership — competence, humility, and selfless service. At 59, he has continued to distinguish himself as a man of vision whose contributions to governance and national development cannot be overlooked,” Arenyeka said.
He added that the senator’s dedication to the people of Delta South has made him a leader deserving of honour and celebration.
Before his election to the National Assembly, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas served as Chairman of the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, where he was credited with introducing reforms that enhanced the state’s revenue system and strengthened institutional efficiency.
The party noted that since assuming office in the Senate, he has sustained that same level of commitment through effective representation, people-focused legislation, and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people of Delta South.
“As a party, we are proud of Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas for his loyalty, calm disposition, and unwavering commitment to humanity and our great party. His dedication to public service continues to inspire confidence in a brighter future for Delta State,” Arenyeka added.
