Delta APC Celebrates Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme at 61, Hails Leadership and Service

The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated the Deputy Governor of the state, Monday Onyeme, on the occasion of his 61st birthday, describing him as a dedicated public servant and accomplished professional.

In a statement issued on Monday by the State Chairman of the APC, Chief Solomon Areyenka and the State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, the party said Onyeme’s birthday presents an opportunity to reflect on a life defined by commitment, discipline, and impactful service in both the private and public sectors.

The APC noted that the Deputy Governor has distinguished himself as a technocrat and seasoned administrator, earning widespread respect across Delta State.

The State Chairman, Chief Arenyeka, praised Onyeme’s leadership qualities, describing him as “a man of intellect, discipline and uncommon loyalty to duty.”

“Sir Monday Onyeme stands out as a refined professional and a dependable leader whose contributions to governance in Delta State are both visible and impactful,” Arenyeka said. “His calm, methodical approach to leadership has continued to bring stability and administrative balance to the workings of the state government.”

He further commended Onyeme’s commitment to accountability and prudent management of resources, noting that such attributes have supported sustainable development in the state.

“As Deputy Governor, he has demonstrated a commendable sense of responsibility, complementing the administration of His Excellency, Sheriff Oborevwori, with diligence, integrity and foresight,” he added.

Arenyeka also highlighted Onyeme’s humility and accessibility, saying these qualities have endeared him to people across political and social divides.

“Beyond politics, Sir Onyeme exemplifies humility and civility in leadership. He has shown that public office is a platform for service, not self-aggrandizement,” he stated.

The party expressed gratitude to God for Onyeme’s life and achievements, describing his 61st birthday as “a moment to celebrate impact, resilience and purposeful engagement.”

The APC joined family members, political associates, and well-wishers in honouring the Deputy Governor, praying for continued good health, wisdom, and strength for greater service to Delta State and humanity.
