Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria and Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated the newly elected leadership of the Delta State Chapter of the APC following the successful conduct of the party’s state congress.
In a congratulatory message, Rt. Hon. Guwor commended members of the State Working Committee on their emergence, expressing confidence that the Chief Solomon Arenyeka-led executive would consolidate on the party’s growing influence and achievements in Delta State.
The Speaker, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, described the affirmation of the new executives at the well-attended congress held at the Cenotaph, Asaba as a clear demonstration of the confidence reposed in them by party faithful across the state.
“Leadership comes with both honour and responsibility, and I am confident that the new executive will justify this mandate by promoting unity, strengthening internal democracy, and advancing the collective aspirations of our party faithfuls across Delta State,” Guwor stated.
He emphasized that as Speaker and Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, he recognizes the critical role vibrant and well-organized political parties play in deepening democratic governance in the country.
Guwor further urged the new leadership to embrace inclusiveness and reconciliation. “Constructive engagement, healthy competition of ideas, and people-centered policies are essential ingredients for sustainable development and good governance. I encourage the new leadership to prioritize inclusiveness and collaboration, ensuring that all stakeholders are carried along. The progress of Delta State must remain our shared commitment beyond political affiliations,” he added, wishing the executives a successful and impactful tenure.
