The Member representing Ika North East Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Marilyn Okowa-Daramola, has lauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on the historic groundbreaking ceremony of the Uromi Junction Flyover, describing the project as a powerful symbol of progress, safety and shared prosperity for the people of Delta State.
Hon. Okowa-Daramola in a goodwill message on her Facebook page said the commencement of the ₦59.7 billion flyover project goes beyond infrastructure development, noting that it reflects the administration’s commitment to people-centred governance.
The Lawmaker who is also Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, commended Governor Oborevwori for what she described as an unwavering resolve to put the welfare of citizens first.
According to her, the Uromi Junction Flyover stands as a clear testament to the governor’s leadership philosophy and the effectiveness of the MORE Agenda, which she said is steadily translating into tangible outcomes across the state, particularly in Ika Nation.
“The MORE Agenda is fully on course, and its impact is evident here in Ika Nation — from infrastructure to social services, economic empowerment and inclusive governance,” she stated.
Okowa-Daramola noted that the project would not only ease traffic congestion and enhance safety but also stimulate economic growth and unity within the area and assured the governor of the unwavering support of the Ika people, pledging sustained partnership with the state government to drive development.
She expressed optimism that the Uromi Junction Flyover would be completed on schedule and followed by more people-driven initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of Deltans.
The lawmaker warmly welcomed Governor Oborevwori to Ika Nation and reaffirming a shared commitment to building “a future of MORE for all.”
