Prince Ugochukwu Ogbuenyi Empowers Widows at Housewarming Ceremony in Abala Uno

Abala Uno, Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State, witnessed an outpouring of joy and compassion on December 29, 2025, as Prince Ugochukwu Ogbuenyi, fondly known as Fresh Air, marked his housewarming ceremony with a remarkable act of generosity toward widows in the community.

In the true spirit of the season, Prince Ogbuenyi distributed Christmas palliatives to widows drawn from across Abala Uno. The items included bags of rice, wrapper materials, bags of salt, and cash gifts, providing timely relief and support to the women during the festive period.

Speaking at the event, Prince Ogbuenyi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the widows, the people of Abala community, His Royal Highness, Igwe Frederick Egbunkeonye (the Igwe of Abala Kingdom), members of the council of chiefs, friends, and well-wishers who came to celebrate with him.

He described the outreach as a humble way of giving back to the community that has continued to support and stand by him, especially at such a momentous time in his life.

The ceremony attracted dignitaries from within and outside the country. Addressing guests on behalf of the Fresh Air Grassroot Movement, the Coordinator, Comrade Ikechukwu Chukwuji, commended Prince Ogbuenyi’s compassionate leadership.

He noted that the gesture marked the beginning of sustained humanitarian interventions aimed at widows and the broader Abala community. He further called on the people to rally behind Prince Ogbuenyi’s political aspirations and to continue supporting the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Sir Monday Onyeme, and Prince Emeka Osamuta.

Receiving the palliatives on behalf of the widows, the Coordinator of Abala Uno Widows, Mrs. Victoria Nwaefulu, offered prayers for God’s abundant blessings upon Prince Ogbuenyi. She emphasized that it was the first time the widows had been formally assembled and remembered in such a thoughtful and impactful manner, describing the moment as historic and deeply emotional.

Also speaking, the leader of the Otu-Umuoma Dance Group, Mr. Ikechukwu Anuku (Akalam), expressed appreciation for the prince’s kindness and pledged the group’s unwavering support for his political journey.

The event was enlivened by colourful cultural displays, energetic performances by dance groups, a lively DJ, and a hype man, creating an atmosphere of celebration and unity.

Indeed, the day lived up to its billing, as Abala Uno truly experienced a breath of Fresh Air — one defined by compassion, community service, and hope.
