Asaba Set for 5KM Fitness Walk in Honour of Asagba’s Coronation Anniversary

All arrangements have been concluded for the 5-kilometer fitness walk being organized in honour of His Royal Majesty, Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, the 14th Asagba of Asaba, to commemorate his first coronation anniversary.

The fitness walk, scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, is an offshoot of the widely publicized maiden edition of the Asaba 10-kilometer International Road Race. Conceived as a Royal Initiative, the event reflects the Asagba’s passion for fitness, wellness, sports promotion, tourism, and community development.

Described as a landmark celebration, the walk not only underscores the monarch’s one-year reign but also combines the vibrancy of sports with the cultural significance of the coronation anniversary.

According to the event consultant, Dr. Moses Nwanze, the walk will take off from the Stephen Keshi Stadium at 7:00 a.m. He further disclosed that participation will be free for all, encouraging residents and visitors to seize the opportunity.

Dr. Nwanze extended an open invitation, urging the public to “join the Kingly 5KM Walk with His Royal Majesty, Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, SAN, OON, FNIALS, in commemoration of his first anniversary as the 14th Asagba of Asaba.”
