Victor Ucheka Foundation Visits Ogwashi-Uku Correctional Centre, Donates Food, Clothing, Cash to Inmates

The Victor Ucheka Foundation has once again demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian service with a compassionate outreach to the Ogwashi-Uku Correctional Centre, where it donated food items, clothing materials, and cash support to inmates of the facility.

The visit, which was marked by warmth and encouragement, was aimed at improving the welfare of the inmates and restoring their sense of hope and dignity.

Speaking during the outreach, the Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Victor Ucheka, expressed deep gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve humanity, stressing that compassion should extend to all, regardless of circumstance.

“We believe that everyone deserves a second chance,” Mr. Ucheka said. “This visit is our way of reminding the inmates that they are not forgotten and that there is hope, purpose, and life beyond the walls of this correctional centre.”

He explained that the Foundation’s intervention was not just about material support, but about moral encouragement and reintegration into society.

“Our message to you is simple: learn from the past, embrace positive change, and resolve to live law-abiding lives when you regain your freedom. Society needs you as reformed and responsible citizens,” he added.

Mr. Ucheka further urged the inmates to shun crime and all forms of social vices after their release, noting that true freedom lies in discipline, character, and service to humanity.

In his response, an official of the Ogwashi-Uku Correctional Centre, Mr. Uzoma Nwadibia, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Victor Ucheka Foundation for the timely and thoughtful gesture.

“On behalf of the management and inmates of this facility, we are sincerely grateful for this show of love,” Mr. Nwadibia said. “Your visit and donations have brought joy, encouragement, and renewed hope to the inmates.”

He prayed for divine blessings upon the Foundation and its leadership, adding that such acts of kindness greatly complement the correctional and rehabilitation efforts of the Nigerian Correctional Service.

“May God Almighty replenish the Victor Ucheka Foundation a hundredfold and continue to strengthen its hands in humanitarian service,” he prayed.

The outreach concluded with words of encouragement to the inmates and reaffirmation of the Foundation’s resolve to continue supporting the less privileged.

The Victor Ucheka Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to uplift vulnerable groups, promote rehabilitation, and foster positive social values across communities.
