United States President Donald Trump has triggered a wave of reactions following his candid admission that he is uncertain about his chances of making heaven, despite believing he has positively impacted many lives.
The president made the remarks during an interview with journalists at the White House, which aired on Fox News on Monday.
During the session, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy referenced an earlier statement by Trump in which he suggested that brokering peace in Ukraine “might help him get into heaven.”
“You mentioned in a previous interview that ending the war in Ukraine could help you get into heaven. Do you think this is helping?” Doocy asked.
In response, Trump smiled and offered a characteristically frank reply.
“I don’t think there’s anything that’s going to get me into heaven, OK? I really don’t,” he said. “Maybe I’m in heaven already, flying on Air Force One. I’m not sure I’m going to make heaven.”
While acknowledging his doubts about eternal reward, Trump noted that he finds solace in the belief that his actions have improved the lives of many Americans.
“But I’ve made life a lot better for a lot of people,” he added.
The remark has since sparked mixed reactions across social media, with some commending his honesty and others questioning his understanding of faith and morality.
