Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle involving four commissioners, alongside the nomination of three eminent persons into the Governing Council of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka.
The development was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu.
According to the statement, Engr. Michael Ifeanyi Anoka has been redeployed from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Renewal to the Ministry of Energy, while Hon. Sunday Tataobuzogwu moves from the Ministry of Energy to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Renewal.
Similarly, Mrs. Rose Ezewu has been reassigned from the Ministry of Secondary Education to the Ministry of Primary Education, while Dr. Kingsley Ashibuogwu moves from the Ministry of Primary Education to the Ministry of Secondary Education.
Dr. Emu noted that the redeployment of the commissioners takes immediate effect.
In a related development, Governor Oborevwori also approved the nomination of three individuals into the Governing Council of the Delta State University, Abraka. Those nominated are Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, Rt. Hon. Frank Enekorogha, and Mr. Charles Ajuyah, SAN.
The statement further disclosed that the inauguration of the newly nominated Governing Council members would be announced in due course.
Governor Oborevwori reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening governance, enhancing service delivery across ministries, and repositioning state-owned institutions for greater efficiency and excellence.
