Gov Oborevwori’s Projects Speak Loudly, No Need for Campaign in 2027, Delta APC Declares

The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s extensive infrastructure development across the state has so won the hearts of Deltans that he may not need to mount a traditional campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party pointed to several landmark projects, including the ongoing Effurun and Enerhen flyovers, the recently completed Trans-Warri/Ode-Itsekiri bridges and road project, and the ongoing Ughelli and Agbor flyovers, as clear proof of a people-oriented administration delivering tangible dividends of democracy.

Delta APC said the massive turnout of residents who trooped out to cheer and celebrate the governor during his recent inspection of the Effurun and Enerhen flyover projects was a strong indication of widespread public approval and appreciation of his leadership.

Speaking with journalists, the APC State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo Esq., described the scenes during the inspection tour as a spontaneous and genuine outpouring of gratitude by the people, stressing that Deltans are already prepared to reward the governor’s performance at the polls in 2027.

“What we witnessed during the inspection of the Effurun and Enerhen flyover projects was a clear expression of the people’s love and satisfaction with the governor’s performance. These were not hired crowds, but organic and spontaneous displays of appreciation by Deltans who have seen real development and came out willingly to celebrate their governor,” Onojeghuo said.

He noted that the completion of the Trans-Warri/Ode-Itsekiri bridges and road project has significantly improved connectivity, opened up economic opportunities, and strengthened unity among host communities. According to him, the ongoing Ughelli and Agbor flyover projects are already easing traffic congestion and boosting commercial activities in their respective areas.

“The large number of Deltans who came out to cheer and jubilate with Governor Oborevwori during the inspection tour shows that all the governor needs to do in 2027 is to show up. Deltans will queue up to vote for him because they can see, touch, and benefit directly from these projects. Such a level of public support is rare,” he stated.

Onojeghuo emphasized that governance driven by performance naturally earns public trust and loyalty, adding that the Oborevwori administration has set a standard that aligns with the aspirations of the people, making traditional campaign efforts largely unnecessary.

“Without sounding immodest or arrogant, the truth is that Delta APC does not need to campaign. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s projects are our strongest campaign message. From the Effurun and Enerhen flyovers to the Trans-Warri/Ode-Itsekiri bridges and road project, and the ongoing Ughelli and Agbor flyovers, evidence of good governance is visible across the length and breadth of Delta State,” he said.

The party further commended the administration for its sustained focus on infrastructure development aimed at tackling long-standing challenges, improving traffic flow, stimulating economic growth, and enhancing the quality of life of residents.

Delta APC concluded that the growing wave of goodwill across the state suggests that Deltans are already looking ahead to 2027 as an opportunity to express their appreciation at the polls for what it described as responsive, inclusive, and impactful governance.
