Gov. Oborevwori Reaffirms Commitment To Serve Deltans, Calls For Prayers

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Delta State in accordance with the will of God, urging Deltans to support his administration through prayers and encouragement.

The Governor delivered this assurance during a surprise worship appearance at Heroes of Faith Ministries, Ughelli, in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Sunday service.

Addressing the enthusiastic congregation, Governor Oborevwori shared that his visit was intentionally unannounced even to his aides demonstrating his desire to connect authentically with the people and seek spiritual guidance without ceremony.

Expressing appreciation to Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi for his courageous support during the 2023 elections, despite facing considerable criticism, Governor Oborevwori remarked, “People criticized you that you were a betrayal because you followed God and openly supported me. The evidence today is the flyover.

When you are talking, you will say that the person God led me to support brought this flyover, and people will respect you more because you did the right thing.”Governor Oborevwori highlighted the ongoing infrastructure projects across Delta State particularly the landmark flyover developments as tangible proof of his administration’s dedication to meaningful progress under his MORE agenda.

He reiterated his resolve: “We will continue to serve you according to the will of God. Continue to pray for us to succeed, especially those of us in power, so that we are not distracted.”

Bishop Enakirerhi, in his remarks, lauded Governor Oborevwori for his unprecedented achievements in infrastructural development throughout Delta’s three senatorial districts.

The Bishop described the Governor as a “detribalized Deltan,” breaking down ethnic barriers to serve all communities with fairness and vision.

He specifically commended the recent approval for the construction of a new flyover at Otovwodo Junction, Ughelli, and the awarding of fresh road construction contracts, noting that the Governor’s practical leadership and “speed” in fulfilling promises have brought genuine happiness to the region and silenced critics.

The Bishop extended similar accolades to Ughelli North Local Council chairman, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, recognizing his effective stewardship.Delivering a sermon titled “Living for Christ,” Bishop Enakirerhi called on everyone to embrace repentance and transformation, emphasizing the power of personal renewal in building a prosperous society.

He concluded with prayers for both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, seeking divine wisdom and guidance as they strive to deliver further development and unity for Delta State and Nigeria as a whole.
