The member representing Uvwie Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Edafe Emakpor (Esq.), has commended Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori for according top priority to the reconstruction of the Warri–Sapele–Benin Dual Carriageway in Uvwie and Okpe Local Government Areas.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hon. Emakpor described the project as a critical infrastructure that will not only stimulate economic growth but also ease vehicular movement and enhance the overall well-being of Deltans and residents across the state.
The lawmaker noted that the commencement of the reconstruction has brought relief to motorists and residents who had endured years of hardship due to the deplorable condition of the road, which had long posed a serious challenge to commuters and businesses in the area.
While applauding Governor Oborevwori for his proactive leadership, Hon. Emakpor also lauded the governor’s collaborative approach with the Federal Government, which he said is attracting more developmental projects to Delta State.
The legislator, who also Chairman house committee Establishment, Ethics and Privileges, highlighted other ongoing infrastructural developments across the state particularly the construction of flyovers in Effurun and Warri as further evidence of Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to transforming the physical and economic landscape of Delta State.
He appealed to residents and motorists to cooperate with the contractors handling the Warri–Sapele–Benin project to ensure its smooth execution and timely completion.
Hon. Emakpor further assured of the continued support of the Uvwie people for the Oborevwori-led administration and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence that the synergy between both levels of government would deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of Delta State.
