BREAKING:Kwara Gov Confirms Release of 38 Worshippers Abducted in Eruku Church Attack

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has confirmed the release of 38 individuals abducted during the recent attack on the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area.

The development was announced on Sunday in a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye.

According to the statement, the victims regained their freedom following a coordinated operation involving federal authorities and various security agencies.

“After days of sustained efforts by security operatives and government officials, His Excellency AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON) is delighted to confirm that the 38 abducted persons from CAC Eruku have been released,” the statement read.

Governor AbdulRazaq attributed the success of the operation to President Bola Tinubu’s direct involvement, noting that the President personally oversaw the rescue efforts.

“The governor says this achievement is entirely due to the proactive and hands-on leadership of President Bola Tinubu, GCFR, who closely monitored and guided the operations. The abductees were freed today, November 23,” the statement added.

The governor also expressed deep appreciation to the President for the commitment and support that ensured the safe return of the victims.
