The Founder of the Ucheka Support Group for the PDP 2023 General Elections now (APC), Mr. Victor Ucheka, has commended the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for organizing a security summit aimed at strengthening the security architecture of the state.
Ucheka made the commendation in a statement made available to journalists in Asaba, describing the summit as a timely and strategic initiative in the face of growing security challenges across the country.
According to him, the decision by Governor Oborevwori to convene stakeholders, security experts, traditional rulers, community leaders, and other relevant actors to discuss practical solutions to insecurity demonstrates visionary leadership and a genuine commitment to the safety and well-being of Deltans.
He noted that at a time when insecurity has become a major concern in many parts of the nation, the governor deserves praise for taking proactive steps to safeguard lives and property in Delta State.
“In his capacity as the Chief Security Officer of the state, Governor Oborevwori has taken the bull by the horns by initiating a comprehensive security summit. This is a bold move that reflects his determination to ensure that Delta remains one of the safest states in Nigeria,” Ucheka stated.
He further emphasized that the summit would provide an avenue for stakeholders to exchange ideas, identify security gaps, and develop sustainable strategies to address emerging threats within the state.
Ucheka added that a secure environment is essential for economic growth, social development, and the attraction of both local and foreign investors. He expressed confidence that the outcomes of the summit would contribute significantly to enhancing peace, stability, and prosperity across Delta State.
The APC chieftain urged all stakeholders to support the governor’s efforts by cooperating with security agencies and providing useful information that would assist in combating crime and criminality.
He concluded by stating that the security summit represents a major step towards building a safer Delta State and ensuring that residents can live, work, and invest in an atmosphere of peace and security.
