Delta APC Salutes Gov. Oborevwori on Security Trust Fund Launch, Applauds ₦10bn Donation from Tompolo and Other Donors

The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has hailed Governor Elder Sheriff Oborevwori for the successful launch of the Delta State Security Trust Fund, describing it as a landmark move that strengthens the safety architecture of the state and reinforces the administration’s commitment to its MORE Agenda.

In a statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Valentine Onojeghuo Esq., the APC said the Security Trust Fund is a clear demonstration that the Governor is faithfully implementing his promises under the MORE Agenda—particularly in the areas of Enhanced Peace and Security.

“Governor Elder Sheriff Oborevwori is fulfilling his MORE Agenda promises with clarity and purpose,” Onojeghuo stated. “The launch of the Delta State Security Trust Fund is not just a policy milestone, but a practical solution that assures citizens that this government is serious about protecting lives, securing investments, and promoting stability. Delta State is clearly in safe hands.”

The APC extended strong commendation to High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for his unprecedented ₦10 billion donation to the fund. Onojeghuo described the contribution as an exemplary display of patriotism and partnership.

“High Chief Ekpemupolo’s ₦10 billion support is a testament to what can be achieved when government and influential stakeholders work together toward peace,” he said.

Onojeghuo also praised Chief John Oguma and several other donors who pledged support during the launch, noting that their commitment reflects growing confidence in the administration’s leadership.

“These contributions send a powerful message that the security of Delta State is a shared responsibility. The APC acknowledges and appreciates every donor who has stepped forward,” he said.

The statement urged companies, traditional institutions, community leaders, and private stakeholders to join in supporting the Trust Fund to ensure long-term sustainability.

“The governor has set the pace; it is now up to stakeholders across sectors to complement these efforts. Security is the backbone of development, and under the MORE Agenda, this administration has shown readiness to deliver,” Onojeghuo added.

The party further emphasized that accountability will guide the management of the fund to ensure that contributions directly enhance surveillance capacity, operational logistics, intelligence gathering, and rapid response capabilities.

Reaffirming the ruling party’s support for the initiative, Onojeghuo concluded:

“Governor Oborevwori has again proven that his MORE Agenda is not rhetoric. The Security Trust Fund is action-oriented governance. With leaders like him and patriotic donors like Tompolo, Chief John Oguma, and others, the future of Delta State is secured”, the statement concluded
