Oborevwori Mourns Business Icon, Chief Andrew Okocha

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed profound sadness over the death of renowned business magnate, Chief Andrew Chukwu Okocha, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the A.C. Okocha Group of Companies. He passed on at the age of 78.

In a condolence message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor commiserated with the Okocha family and the people of Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area.

Governor Oborevwori described the late Chief Okocha as a visionary industrialist whose remarkable contributions to the economic growth of Delta State and Nigeria would remain indelible.

He said, “Chief Andrew Okocha was a pillar in the private sector, a respected community leader, and a man whose entrepreneurial spirit created jobs and opportunities for countless people.”

The Governor noted that Chief Okocha’s demise was a huge loss not only to his immediate family and the Ogwashi-Uku community but also to the entire Delta State.

While praying for the repose of his soul, Oborevwori urged the bereaved family to find comfort in the enduring legacy and impactful life their patriarch left behind.
